The effective date of these actions is the release date of this Notice, except where an effective date is specified. SAT-AMD-20161114-00107 E S2946 Spire Global, Inc. Amendment Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/18/2017 Nature of Service: Earth Exploration Satellite Service, Mobile Satellite Service, Other On May 18, 2017, the Satellite Division granted in part and deferred in part, with conditions, the application, as amended (File No. SAT-LOA-20151123-00078, as amended by SAT-AMD-20161114-00107), of Spire Global, Inc. Specifically, Spire was authorized to construct, deploy, and operate 24 additional technically identical satellites to be deployed at orbital altitudes no greater than 600 km, as part of what Spire describes as Phase IB deployment. The satellites will be used to conduct maritime monitoring and meteorological monitoring operations. The satellites will operate using the 402-403 MHz (Earth-to-space and space-to-Earth) frequency band for telemetry, tracking and command and back-up data downlinking, and the 2020-2025 MHz (space-to-Earth) and 2200-2290 (space-to-Earth, for 1 MHz bandwidth operations with earth stations outside the United States) frequency bands. The satellites will also receive Automatic Identification System (AIS) and Application Specific Messages (ASM) signals in the 156.7625-156.7875 MHz, 156.8125-156.8375 MHz (space-to-Earth), and 161.9625-161.9875 MHz, 162.0125-162.0375 MHz, 161.9375-161.9625 MHz, and 161.9875-162.0125 MHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands, and GPS signals centered at 1575.42 MHz and 1227.60 MHz (space-to-Earth) frequency bands. Modification 05/18/2017 - 05/31/2020 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/18/2017 Nature of Service: Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service On May 18, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of SES Americom, Inc. to modify the authorization of the AMC-15 space station at the 105.05° W.L. orbital location. SES is authorized to reorient the Ka-band beams on AMC-15 to provide coverage of the continental United States, Gulf of Mexico, Mexico, and parts of the Caribbean, and to operate AMC-15 in the 18.58-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 28.4-28.6 GHz and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Telemetry, tracking, and command is conducted using the following center frequencies: 11702.0 MHz, 12198.0 MHz, 18582.0 MHz (space-to-Earth); and 14001.5MHz (Earth-to-space). Modification 05/18/2017 - 02/07/2020 Grant of Authority Effective Date: 05/18/2017 Nature of Service: Direct to Home Fixed Satellite, Fixed Satellite Service On May 18, 2017, the Satellite Division granted, with conditions, the application of SES Americom, Inc. to modify the authorization of the AMC-16 space station at the 85° W.L. orbital location. SES is authorized to reorient the Ka-band beams on AMC-16 to provide coverage of the continental United States, Canada, and parts of the Caribbean, and to operate AMC-16 in the 18.6-18.8 GHz and 19.7-20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 28.4-28.6 GHz and 29.5-30.0 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands. Telemetry, tracking, and command is conducted using the following center frequencies: 11700.75 MHz, 12199.25 MHz, 18584.0 MHz (space-to-Earth); and 14001.5MHz (Earth-to-space).
