Specifically, the following applications have been withdrawn: (1) the application seeking consent to transfer control of PCC ion 214 licensee subsidiaries to Pacific Century Regional Developments Limited (Fileflfimfl_.&pd (2) the application to extend PCCW‘s Special Temporary Authority (whichis set to expire April 29) to effectuate that transfer of control (File A The Hong Kong Court of Appeal allowed the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission to appeal a lower court‘s approval of the proposal to privatize PCCW. As a result, certain conditions of the privatization proposal were not fulfilled by the "long stop" date of April 23, 2009 and the proposal automatically lapsed.
