request for a modular approval - FCC ID XXMOM12001100

Dear Application Examiner,

the NXP Semiconductors module OM12001 is seeking FCC authorization as a
modular transmitter. The requirement of the FCC part 15.212 are met.

The following requirements are fulfilled:

1. The radio portion of the module is contained in its own RF shielding.
Yes, The EUT does provide a RF shielding Refer to EUT Picture
2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs
Modulation and generation of data sent to RF power amplifier is under control of STE PNX4902
baseband. Its design ensures that no over modulation or excessive data rate will occur

3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation
Power supply regulation is integrated into baseband PNX4902 and RF power amplifier SKY77531 for
mobile communications. For NFC, it is also integrated into NXP PN532, whereas discrete LDOs are
used for GPS and microcontroller

4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of
Section 15.203 and 15.204c
Yes. This module does not contain a standard RF connection and the antenna must be professionally
installed by the end product integrator. Additionally, this device has been tested with a representative
antenna.

5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand-alone configuration
The EUT was tested in a stand-alone configuration via a test kit.
Please see section photographs of test configuration in the test report.

6. The modular transmitter must be labelled with its own FCC ID number
Please see exhibition label sample for the FCC ID of this module; and also in the exhibition users
manual, there are instructions given to the OEM on how to label the
end product.

7. The modular transmitter must comply with any specific rule or operating
requirements applicable to the transmitter and the manufacturer must
provide adequate instructions along with the module to explain any such
requirements.
The EUT is compliant with all applicable FCC rules. Details instructions for maintaining compliance
are give in the user
manual.

8. The modular transmitter must comply with any applicable RF exposure
requirements.
The EUT complies with RF exposure requirement - MPE report is submitted

Please contact us if you have any additional questions.

Best Regards
