Subject: C2PC for non-DFS Bands for device approved in DFS bands
          We Are reviewing an application for a C2PC to FCC ID X7CAP8120. The device is currently
          certified to operate in the 2.4/5.8GHz DTS bands and 5150-5250/5250-5350/5470-5725 NII bands.
          The application converts the currently approved, integrated antenna to a configuration where the
          antenna is external and detachable and adds a new antenna type, also detachable. The application is
          limited to the DTS bands and the 5150-5250 NII band. The applicant has clearly stated the this new
Question: system configuration (detachable antenna) does not operate in the DFS bands and the end user
          cannot configure it operate in the DFS bands. When we issue the NII grants, do we keep all the
          existing bands in the Form 731 or do we limit the C2PC grant to just the 5150-5250 band? The
          applicant will be filing with the FCC to add the DFS bands at some time in the future and the
          original configuration will continue to be marketed, capable of operating in the DFS bands. Regards
