Antenna dimensional information for SAR evaluation The host platform (Model: TP00019A) is subjected to SAR due to the insufficient antenna separation distance from human’s body (< 20cm). See Section 5 of separate “WWAN Antenna Info” exhibit. As the SAR Report indicates, the “Figure-5: Secondary Landscape” mode in the “WWAN Antenna Info” exhibit is disabled via software for WWAN feature, since the SAR result exceeded the limit due to the short distance to human body. 2. Co-Location evaluation WWAN - WLAN: The WWAN main (Tx) antenna and WLAN antennas co-locate with at least 5mm of separation distance, and the both devices are capable to transmit RF simultaneously. However, the WWAN feature won’t be incorporated in the host PC system nor shipped associated with WLAN transmitter device, unless the relevant certification process (Class I or II Permissive Change) completes for the evaluation of simultaneous transmission in accordance with the separate “OEM Installation Guidance”. WWAN – USB: The closest distance between USB ports and WLAN/WiMAX or WWAN transmission antenna is 37mm (< 5 cm) as shown in the Figure-2 of separate “WWAN Antenna Info” exhibit. Therefore, Lenovo provides guidance to customers not to use any external wireless option for simultaneous transmission purpose. WWAN – Bluetooth: The output power of Bluetooth device is 3.06mW (≤ 60/f(GHz)) and the minimum antenna-to-antenna distance is 142mm (≥ 5 cm) between WWAN and Bluetooth, therefore the Bluetooth device is not required SAR evaluation for WWAN-Bluetooth co-location in accordance with Table-2 of KDB616217.
