A WLAN/Bluetooth co-existence mechanism is employed to ensure that the WLAN and Bluetooth transmitters do not operate simultaneously. Though the user perceives that WLAN and Bluetooth can be used simultaneously, in reality, the WLAN and the Bluetooth are time-shared with no overlap in transmission.
