Grant Date: October 25th, 2012
Applicant: Cisco Systems, Inc.

Dear Examiner,

This is to request a Class II permissive change for Z1-HW-US, FCC ID: UDX-60024010, originally granted on October
25th, 2012. The major change filed under this application is:

Change #1 Product updated to meet new FCC 15.407 rules for operation in UNII-1 and UNII-3. Product
                      updated to 15.407(b)(4)(ii).

Note: UNII B1 output powers were measured as average. All RF parameters for UNII B3 have remained
unchanged from the original granted device and comply with the new UNII rules with the
exception of OOBE emissions which continue to comply with 15.247 OOBE requirements
specified in Part 15E Section 15.407(b)(4)(ii). With regards to PSD, the maximum PSD in 3kHz
was -1.279 dBm/3kHz under the original filing dated October 25th, 2012. Scaling the original
PSD by 10 log (500kHz/3kHz) results in maximum PSD in 500kHz of 20.940 dBm/500kHz,
which is below the 30dBm/500kHz limit for UNII B3.

If you have any questions regarding this application, please feel free to contact me.

Sincerely,
