To whom it may concern: We, Marvell Semiconductor, Inc., performed SAR test to mount the module, IEEE 802.11 2x2 MU—MIMO ac/a/b/g/n Wireless LAN + Bluetooth NGFF Module, model: W8997—M1216, into the portable host device (HD Memory Card Camera Recorder, Model GY—HC900CHU). However, the Radiated emission testing was not additionally performed due to the following reason. The original FCC testing of the module W8997—M1216 was performed when the antenna was connected to the module in an open environment. Since the intended use antenna for the host device is an external antenna, the test conditions of the spurious testing on the host device would be the same as the test condition of the module. The physical restraints introduced by the host device would result in equal or lower level of radiated emission. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
