Change from the original design was provided through firmware (software) change and this equipment was not certified as SDR equipment. The electronics remain identical to original design. The design was authorized under 47 CFR 15.247 on 2/5/2013 for operation in the 5745-5825 MHz band as granted 7/3/2014. Compliance to meet the new 15.407 regulations required power reduction in the 5745-5825 MHz band. The change application also addresses the addition of U-NII-1 frequency operation in the 5180-5240 MHz frequency band. While not explicitly addressed in the report, the requirement of KDB926956 Q&A #7 c):, compliance with the new regulations are demonstrated including: software security, Band-edge measurements, Band Power, high and low channel emissions, Power Spectral Density and power reduction when used with high gain antennas. There is no change to the integral antenna as previously authorized.
