To Whom It May Concern:


Ericsson AB requests a Class II Permissive Change for the above-mentioned FCC Identifier.

New functionality (NR) has been added in software, as described/covered in exhibit 12 and supporting documentation.

The radio operates in the Cellular band as per 47 CFR Part 24E, 27.

This radio (Radio 8843 B2 B66A) is designed for use in LTE and NR cellular telephone system. This FDD radio
operates in Band 2 and Band 66A, the transmitter from 1930 - 1990 MHz and the receiver from 1850 - 1910 MHz for
band 2 and the transmitter from 2110 - 2180 MHz and the receiver from 1710 - 1780 MHz for band 66A.
It supports radio access technology SR & MR: LTE and NR. It supports channel bandwidths of 5, 10, 15, 20 & 20+20
MHz for LTE and NR.
The radio supports modulation type: LTE & NR: QPSK, 16QAM, 64QAM, 256QAM

The radio supports spectrum consisting of two or more sub-blocks separated by sub-block gap(s), NCS (None-
Contiguous Spectrum). The radio unit supports carrier aggregation.

The radio has the ability to be used in a RBS system configured for 3GPP 2x2 and 4x4 MIMO/Spatial multiplexing and
beam-forming technologies.

The radio will in B2 operate at maximum power of 4x40 W or 2x60W and in B66A at maximum power of 4x60 W or
2x80 W. The radio has 4 Tx/Rx ports for B2 and 4 TX/RX ports for B66A.

This radio will always require a license for transmission.

The Exhibit 8 user manuals submitted with this application is generic and may cover multiple products.

This application is only valid for the model specified in the Exhibit 6 test report.

Ericsson AB accept by this request the agreement set out in the document “IP SPCR 125 Annex A2 Agreements on
Post-market surveillance for radio equipment certified for the US market.
