Date: December 12, 2016 RE: Explanation for schematics showing a 2.4 GHz transmit and receive paths. Dear Sir or Madam: The following information addresses the 2.4 GHz circuitry shown in the CAM schematics. 1. The 2.4 GHz section has been part of the CAM design since the original conception with the 2.4 GHz sections to be activated for international markets such as the European Union. 2. The 2.4 GHz circuitry would require a different software code to activate. 3. There are no plans to activate the 2.4 GHz in this module for North America. 4. If the need arises for Itron to use the 2.4 GHz on the CAM module then the appropriate regulatory approvals will be sought. 5. The end user cannot activate the 2.4 GHz.
