Federal Communications Commission Date: June 15, 2011 Equipment Authorization Branch 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Gentlemen: Itron, Inc. respectfully requests confidentiality of certain materials provided with the submission of the ITR24001 under FCC ID: SK9ITR24001 in accordance with 47 CFR 0.459. Pursuant to 47 CFR 0.457(d) of the FCC Rules, information that is considered trade secret and not routinely available to the public may also be withheld from public inspection if a request for non-disclosure is submitted pursuant to 47 CFR 0.459. This confidentiality request applies to the schematics, block diagrams, theory of operation, and internal photos contained in the following exhibits: 11-0105 – Schematics.pdf 11-0105 – System Block Diagram.pdf 11-0105 – Theory of Operation.pdf 11-0105 – Internal Photos.pdf The ITR24001 has been developed at considerable effort and expense by Itron, Inc. These items are considered as trade secrets and therefore public access to the proprietary material could possible result in duplication of equipment that could severely damage the company's business advantage. Confidentiality of the Internal Photos is being requested because this is a non-consumer device which is not accessible by the general public and is only serviceable by the applicant or designated technicians.
