May 9, 2011 Dear Sir or Madam: The Itron ITR24001 module is an off the shelf CPU unit which acts as a Cell master within an electricity grid system. Located in the ITR24001 module is a WiFi transmitter that operates in the 2400 MHz to 2484.5 MHz band. One section of this device also contains Bluetooth circuitry and, since this is an off the shelf device, some of the documentation that has been provided such as the block diagram and schematics does mention the existence of the Bluetooth circuitry. The use of this device in the Itron application does not utilize the Bluetooth function and the Bluetooth circuitry will not be activated.
