Bowman Drive Buford, GA 30518 Re: FCC ID: SK9AMI-4 To Whom It May Concern: The following application is submitted on behalf of our client, Itron Electricity Metering, Inc, for evaluation of their model AMI4 for a class II permissive change under FCC Part 15.247. The AMI4 contains (2) transceivers which include (1) frequency hopping 900 MHz LAN radio and (1) 2.4 GHz Zigbee radios. The purpose of this class II permissive change is to add new antenna types to the 900 MHz LAN frequency hopping spread spectrum radio only. The limited modular approved AMI4 was tested in a representative host device. The antennas included in this filing are not directly connected to the AMI4 module but instead are connected to the host utility meter via an adhesive patch antenna. The intention of the patch antenna is to couple to the AMI4 integral antenna over-the-air. The coupled signal is then to be routed, via coax, to the antennas described in this filing.
