Dear Application Examiner:

Tripod Data Systems, Inc is submitting this application for a Class II Permissive
change of FCC ID: S9E-NOMADWF. This 802.11(b)/(g) radio, M/N: WM-G-MR-
05, was originally approved for use in Tripod’s Nomad handheld computer. Co-
location was allowed with FCC ID: S9E-NOMADBT. Tripod is seeking the C2PC
in order to add a new co-location configuration and a new RF exposure condition.
The Nomad will now include the following three radios:
    • Bluetooth, ST Micro STLC 2500C, FCC ID: S9E-NOMADBT
    • 802.11(b)/(g), USI WM-G-MR-05, FCC ID: S9E-NOMADWF
    • GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Siemens MC75, FCC ID: S9E-NOMADWAN

In this configuration, the RF exposure condition will be mobile. MPE estimates
have been provided with this application.

No changes have been made to the 802.11(b)/(g) radio, antenna, or software.

Please note, the Nomad host PDA is referred to as the Eagle through-out the test
report data. Eagle is Tripod’s internal name for the device; Nomad is the
marketing name.

Your efforts in reviewing this application are greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Bob Grant
Regulatory Engineer
