Approval Type Original Equipment Class PCS Licensed Base Station Transmitter Rule Part 22H, 24E Overview This application is for a single limited modular approval of the M/N: MC75 radio in Tripod’s host PDA, M/N: Nomad. The MC75 is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio tha operates in the cellular and PCS bands. This radio will be collocated with a previously approved 802.11(b)/(g) radio FCC ID: S9E- NOMADWF and a previously approved Bluetooth radio FCC ID: S9E-NOMADBT. Please note, the Nomad host PDA is referred to as the Eagle through out the test report data. Eagle is Tripod’s internal name for the device; Nomad is the marketing name. The FCC IC ID: for the WAN radio is S9E-NOMADWAN. MPE estimates for the collocated radios are provided with this application. The radios are housed in a ruggedized, waterproof host computer. The host PDA can operate off of battery power or while charging, indirectly connected to the AC Mains. The radio utilizes a single integral antenna. This configuration satisfies the requirements of 47 CFR 15.203. Confidentiality requested for allowed files. Request is properly addressed and referenced.
