Dear Application Examiner:

Tripod Data Systems, Inc is submitting this application for the original limited
modular approval of M/N: MC75 radio in the Nomad handheld computer. The
MC75 radio is a GSM/GPRS/EDGE radio that operates in cellular and PCS
bands. Tripod is seeking certification under FCC ID: S9E-NOMADWAN. The
radio is installed in the Nomad ruggedized handheld computer. Please note, the
Nomad host PDA is referred to as the Eagle through-out the test report data.
Eagle is Tripod’s internal name for the device; Nomad is the marketing name.
The Nomad PDA can operate off of battery power or while charging, indirectly
connected to the AC mains through an AC Adapter.

The MC75 will be co-located with a previously approved 802.11(b)/(g) radio and
a previously approved Bluetooth radio, FCC ID: S9E-NOMADWF and FCC ID:
S9E-NOMADBT, respectively. MPE estimates for the co-located radios are
provided with this application.

The radio utilizes a single antenna. This configuration satisfies the requirements
of 47 CFR 15.203.

The technical reports and exhibits demonstrate compliance with FCC rules 47
CFR Part 22 and 24. The receiver portion of this radio transceiver has been
verified to FCC 15B
