The following item (s) need(s) to be resolved before the review can be continued: 1. This application is being submitted for the Radio portion of a Cell/PCS module to be installed inside other devices, such as computers, using digital interfaces. This device is therefore also classified as a 5/12/2008

Class B Computer Peripheral according to FCC 15.101, and is subject to either FCC Declaration of Conformity or Certification. The FCC Label does not contain the FCC logo for the DoC compliance. There is no separate application submitted for the Certification of the Computer Peripheral portion of this device (equipment class JBP). The FCC has recently been dismissing applications for which the Computer Peripheral portion is not clearly documented as being compliant. [AT4 wireless] Attached you can find updated user’s manual with the information required for DoC compliance and updated label design including the FCC logo. 2. Please note that the Users must be provided with the compliance information required by FCC 15.21 regarding modifications to this device. Guidance should be included in the OEM documentation to ensure this information is placed in the end users manual. [AT4 wireless] The user’s manual has been updated to include this information. 3. The hardware Users Guide exhibit on pages 42 and 62 of 64 indicates that the OEM is to provide antenna installation information to the user. This device must actually be OEM installed, with no instructions to the end user about installation of the device or antenna. Please clarify these statements to provide guidance to the OEM to NOT provide any installation information to the end user. [AT4 wireless] The user’s manual has been updated to remove instructions to the user about installation of the antenna. 4. The RF power data has been submitted for conducted measurements and Radiated (ERP/EIRP) measurements. The Users manual indicates that a maximum of 3dBi antenna should be used, but the RF Test report does not indicate the antenna specifications for the antenna connected during the radiated power measurements. This Grant for a non-intergral-antenna device must list the conducted RF Power on the Grant. The RF Conducted power to be listed on the grant will be GSM-850: 1.85W; PCS-1900: 0.95W. [AT4 wireless] This is not commercialized with any antenna, the antenna was used to test radiated emissions. The user’s manual includes guidance on antenna selection. 5. Please note that the receive frequencies of GSM-850 band listed on page 15 of 53 of the Users Guide 2.pdf exhibit incorrectly lists the band starting at 969.2 MHz, which should be corrected when possible. [AT4 wireless] The user’s manual has been updated to modify this information. Please provide a single response to the above issues in order to allow efficient completion of this application.
