      Re: Hotport 4600 ; FCC ID # REP-4600-1

      To Whom It May Concern:

The radio module used in the Hotport 4600 is an “off-the-shelf” product produced by Ubiquiti Networks Inc. (San
Jose, CA). The model number of the radio module is SR2. The SR2 is Ubiquiti’s version of the 802.11b/g mini
PCI card developed by Atheros Communications (Sunnyvale, CA). The radio card utilizes the Atheros AR5213
(MAC) and AR2112 (Radio) IC’s, which are designed to cover the 2.4 GHz ISM band.

Firetide purchases the SR2 module from Ubiquiti as a tested and calibrated card. No tuning or programming of
the SR2 card prior to final assembly is performed by Firetide. Tuning of the Hotport 4600 (output power and
operating frequency) is done by using the HotView SW application provided with each unit. With Hotview, the
end user can change the operating frequency to pre-set/pre-defined channels and can change (increase/decrease)
the TX output power. The end user can only increase the power up to a factory set limit and not beyond.
The factory set limit is based on the TX power levels measured during the FCC certification testing.
