                          INSTRUCTIONS FOR
                          USE OF QVT-525-V21

                       RF SAFETY INFORMATION


         To comply with FCC RF exposure compliance requirements, the
antennas used with the 3e-525 family products must be installed with a minimum
separation distance of 20cm, 35cm for any approved directional antenna, from all
persons and must not be co-located or operated in conjunction with any other
antenna or transmitter. Installation should be accomplished using the authorized
cables and / or connectors provided with the device or available from the
manufacturer / distributor for use with this device. Changes or modifications not
expressly approved by the manufacturer or party responsible for this FCC
compliance could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment.

Note: This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a
Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 and part 90 of the FCC Rules. These
limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful interference
when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment
generates, uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and
used in accordance to the instruction manual, may cause harmful interference to
radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a residential area is likely
to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct
the interference at their own expense.

       Installation should be accomplished using the authorized cables and / or

                         TUNE-UP PROCEDURE
   1. Configure the radio module for operation in the 2.4 GHz, 4.9 GHz, or 5.8 GHz
      band using the radio configuration software. Note: only one band is
      available at a time.
   2. Configure the power setting for Auto using the radio configuration
      software.
   3. Measure the power output during transmit.
   4. Verify that the power reading is between 18 dBm and 24 dBm.


                    LABELING INSTRUCTIONS
1. The radio module used for the 3e-525 Family products is the Wistron
   DCMA-82 module (3eTI Part Number 5441400001). This single device covers
   each the 2.4GHz, 4.9GHz, and 5.8GHz operational modes.

2. Place the label with the QVT-525-V21 label designated for use with the
   DCMA-82 radio (3eTI Part Number 31000971-002 – LABEL,FCC,QVT-525-
   V21,DCMA-82).

3. The DCMA-82 module with the label from step 2 (above) must be installed
   per 3eTI manufacturing instructions.

4. Add an FCC label designated for use with the enclosure (3eTI Part Number
   31000971-001 – LBL,FCC,QVT-525-V21,ENCLOSURE) in place of the FCC
   label on the outside of the product enclosure. Remove any existing FCC
   label on this enclosure prior to installing the new label. Note: the correct
   location for installation of this label is called out in the Manufacturing
   Assembly Instructions for the product.
