SILICON LABS October 8, 2018 Differences between various models The model BGM13S22A is electrically identical to BGM13S22N and BGM13S32A is electrically identical to BGM13S32N with exact same RF layout and characteristics. The only difference between the models is that while BGM13S22A/ BGM13S32A is equipped with an internal antenna, in the BGM13S22N/BGM13S32N the internal antenna is not assembled. In case BGM13S2Z2N/BGM13S32N an external antenna is connected to the RF pin of the module using a 50ohm trace on an application board. BGM13S22A/N is limited in transmit output power to nominal 10 dBm and BGM13S32A/N is limited to nominal 19 dBm. Because the only difference between A and N models is that the internal antenna is not assembled, it is possible to use A models also with an external antenna by connecting the external antenna to the RF output the same way as with N model. BGX13$22A identical to BGM13S22A in the HW and in all electrical characteristics. The difference between BGM13S22A and BGX13522A is that BGX13922A is delivered with preconfigured FW for plug‘n play operation while BGM13S22A is delivered with generic FW.
