FCC SDR Class III Permissive Change Declaration Date: December 12, 2017 Federal Communications Commission Authorization and Evaluation Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 Attn: OET Dept. Product/ Model Number: 5 GHz Wireless Module / AP0158770 Regarding KDB 442812 Software Defined Radio Application Guide, we would like to apply Class III Permissive change (C3PC) to the above named device for the following purpose; PURPOSE;- To update the 5.8 GHz band to the new Part 15E Rules including removal of 5 MHz channel bandwidth and update the DFS with the Modified Bin 5 radar type waveform characteristics to the requirements of 905462 D02 v02. There are no hardware changes implemented but there are changes to the software Distribution and Security Documentation for this device. These changes will only be enabled via RADWIN software. This application implements the following software change; Original Grant Dated 05/27/2016; 4.6.00 This C3PC implements; 4.9.21 STATEMENT;- This device that was approved under the Old Rules was not marketed or sold after June 2, 2016 All RADWIN software builds released after the date of this C3PC shall be covered. Details of how RADWIN implement and control security in order to prevent changes that would violate the FCC Grant are described in the Security Description for SDR application document in the original Class III filing for this product. The same device software security features are implemented for the software change described above as for the original Class III application.
