Re.: Class II Permissive Change Application for FCC ID: Q2331308, IC: 6850A—31308

The combination of the Tyco antenna in the SPSx52 plus the re—radiator trace placed against the
interior of the front panel is considered a "new antenna type", and so Infineon has given
permission to Trimble to add a new antenna to the scope of their Grants (refer to Infineon—
issued letters of permission, as well as 2/3/2010 email exchange between Jorgen Ostlund of
Infineon and Gerardo Torres of Trimble). The Tyco antenna is the same as previous SPSx52
revs, but together with the re—radiator they are considered a new antenna solution or type. New
antenna type patterns and specs have been provided to the TCB.

 Sincerely,

 Gerardo Torres / Test Engineer
 Trimble Navigation Ltd.
