We have analysed the device against the requirements of KDB 442812 D01 and the questions defined. 1. Can the RF Parameters of the device be altered through software? Answer: Yes. The device is upgradeable to later 3GPP releases. 2. Can third parties not permitted by the Commission through specific filings modify, configure or load different software or make configuration settings to operate the device or host hardware radio frequency parameters in any other way than granted or will be granted? Answer: No. The device software images are encrypted files that are verified prior to being accepted by the device. Once the software image is verified and accepted it is decompressed and processed. The verification and compression procedures used are proprietary and not disclosed. 3. Is the device capable of operating in any other way than granted or will be granted? Answer: No. 4. Is this a Part 15 client device as defined in Section 15.2027? Answer: N/A. 5. Does the manufacturer elect SDR? Answer: No According to the analysis above and the requirements of KDB 442812 V2.00, the General Dynamics Broadband PCI—Express Mini Module FCC ID: PKTPEMAMW is not an SDR device as defined in KDB 442812.
