The module has its own shielding and does not rely upon any shielding that maybe introduced as a result of integrating the module into a final product. The module provides a USB interface, this interface is digital and therefore does not allow excessive data rates or over—modulation to occur. The module has on—board power conversion from the primary supply and is therefore not reliant on any power conversion from the host equipment. The PCI Express Mini Module is not supplied with antennae and the antennae connectors provided on the pcb are considered unique connectors. The module has been tested as a stand—alone device. The module will be labelled with a unique FCC Identifier and the integration instruction will document the requirement for an external label with suitable wording if the module label will not be visible in the final product. The integration instructions have been provided with this application. The PCI Express Mini module complies with the RF Exposure requirements defined for devices operated at >20cm from the user. We believe the above information demonstrates that the General Dynamics Broadband PCI Express Mini Module meets the requirements for full modular approval.
