Dexcom requests the permission of not marking FCC ID on product label due to size limitation. We instead place the FCC ID in the manual and package label. Our new transmitter size is preventing us from printing the FCC ID on its labeling side, see image below. The printable area (the shaded area right handside) on the device is only 12 mm x 15 mm and there is just barely enough space to place the serial number (X12345 in below picture) and part number (9445- 18) of the device. The lefthand side half of the product is the area that interfaces the sensor where perfect water tight seal is required. So no label can be put there. Since the font size required to make our FCC ID PH29688 legible does not fit on the portion of the transmitter for label, we would like to request approval for placing our FCC ID in the user manual and on packaging label instead.
