Box 358315 Pittsburgh, PA 15251—5315 Subject: Application for Certification, ACSS TT—951 Traffic & Terrain Collision Avoidance System (T°CAS) Dear Mr. Fabina: As required by FCC Rules and Regulations Volume II, Part 2, Subpart J, and Volume V, Part 87, Subpart A, Certification is requested for ACSS Type TT—951 Traffic & Terrain Collision Avoidance System (T°CAS). The TT—951 T°CAS units evolved from the predecessor RT—950 Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), previously certified under PBCRT—950. The TT—951 units utilize the same TCAS circuit boards and TCAS circuit board software that the predecessor RT—950 units utilized. These TCAS circuit boards/software have been previously certified with the FCC. ACSS drawing 9000299—001 shows the "FCC ID" identification and included in the FCC Certification Report are photos showing the location of these nameplates. Included with this request is the FCC Certification Report for TT—951, including photographs, technical circuitry descriptions with block and schematic diagrams, and user/installation instructions. A letter of "Intent to File for FCC Certification" for the TT—951 T°CAS has been sent to the applicable Federal Aviation Administration Office, and included with this application as required by Part 87, Paragraph 87.147(d3). Our check for $525.00 will be mailed to cover the required fee for this application for equipment authorization. Your favorable consideration of this application will be appreciated.
