Box 358315 Pittsburgh, PA 15251—5315 Subject: ACSS Request for Change in Equipment Identification Number To Whom It May Concern: Pursuant to Section 2933(b) of the rules of the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC" or "Commission"), ACSS respectfully requests FCC approval to change the equipment identification number for the following Mode S Diversity Transponder, which currently is manufactured by Honeywell International Inc.: FCC ID: GB8RCZ—852 (Grant Date 10/20/93) As a result of a Consent Decree between the Department of Justice and Honeywell Inc./AlliedSignal Inc. (hereinafter, "Honeywell") which required the divestiture of certain manufacturing businesses operated by Honeywell, ACSS anticipates assuming the manufacturing and marketing responsibility for the product listed above on or about Aug 2003. ACSS certifies that it will maintain the same design and circuitry used by Honeywell for the above product. ACSS also certifies that the equipment that it will manufacture will not differ from the original equipment, and that the original test results of the equipment will continue to be representative of and applicable to the equipment that ACSS will manufacture. ACSS was recently assigned a grantee code, P8C by the Commission, and intends to use the following equipment identification number for the above—referenced product: P8BCRCZ—852 (formerly, FCC ID: GB8RCZ—852) Sincerely, Peter Beutelman Hardware Engineering Manager
