FCC ID: OWS-NIC44 IC: 5975A-NIC44 Model No.: NIC44 To whom it may concern, Request is hereby submitted, on behalf of my client Silver Spring Networks to withhold from public review indefinitely certain portions of the application for equipment certification for the referenced FCC identifier. The referenced product is a 900MHz FHSS radio module for which limited modular approval is sought. In particular, the following sections of the application and report are requested to be kept confidential: Operational Description Schematic Block Diagram Internal photographs Justification for requesting confidentiality of internal photographs: The referenced product is sold only to power utilities and is not available on the general market. The product will be located on utility property, either on power poles or inside the building. It will not be available for public inspection. The unit has no user serviceable parts, servicing is done by Silver Spring Networks. Silver Spring Networks has invested considerable time and materials in research and development to produce the referenced product. Disclosure of the confidential portions of this application to competitors would give them competitive advantage in developing similar products.
