Since the design is a basis from which future products will evolve, Silver Spring Networks considers that this information would be of significant benefit to its competitors and that disclosure would give competitors an unfair advantage in the marketplace. Justification for keeping internal photographs and user manual confidential This product is not sold to the general public; it is sold only to electric and gas utilities. There are no serviceable parts except for the battery which is designed for a 20 year life before replacement. In addition, the circuits under the shields are filled with waterproof potting material.
