FCC ID: OWS-IMU518 IC: 5975A-IMU518 To whom it may concern, Request is hereby submitted, on behalf of my client Silver Spring Networks to permanently withhold from public review certain portions of the application for equipment certification for the referenced FCC identifier. The referenced product is a 900MHz FHSS gas meter radio module for which modular approval is sought. In particular, the following sections of the application and report are requested to be kept confidential: Operational Description Schematic Block Diagram Internal photographs Justification for keeping internal photographs confidential This product is not sold to the general public, it is made available only to utilities and gas companies. There are no serviceable parts except for the battery which is designed for a 20-year life before replacement. In addition the circuits under the shields are filled with waterproof potting material. Silver Spring Networks has invested considerable time and materials in research and development to produce the referenced product. Disclosure of the confidential portions of this application to competitors would give them unfair competitive advantages in developing similar products.
