Inquiry:
Refer to the attached document for details.

The manufacturer would like to use the same label for both the board alone and the board in the plastic
box. The plastic box label will be on the exterior surface and will be visible after installation. In other
words, the manufacturer would like to save the expense of placing a ?Contains FCC ID:? label on the
plastic box.

Question1: If the information regarding the plastic box and how it is labeled is documented in the
certification filing, can we use the same FCC ID for both the board alone and the board in the plastic
box?

Question2: If the answer to question 1 is ?Yes?, can the ?Contains FCC ID:? label be eliminated if the
FCC ID label is clearly visible after installation?


Response:
In response to your inquiries: Question1: If the information regarding the plastic box and how it is labeled is documented in the
certification filing, can we use the same FCC ID for both the board alone and the board in the plastic box? Yes, but the wording
"Contains FCCID:" must be on the plastic box.

Question2: If the answer to question 1 is ?Yes?, can the ?Contains FCC ID:? label be eliminated if the FCC ID label is clearly
visible after installation? Only if it's in a user accessible location.
