June 20, 2016 Subject: Application for Certification, FCC ID: OV5-MA4G, IC ID: 11137A-MA4G Dear Application Examiner, The purpose of this filing is to apply for a new certification of a device employing cellular, Bluetooth, 2.4GHz WLAN, and 5GHz WLAN technologies. The device comes with two different antennas. The first houses a pair of Cellular antennas, a GPS antenna, and a 2.4/5GHz antenna. The second is a 1.8dBi dipole that is only capable of transmitting 2.4GHz WLAN traffic in a MIMO configuration with the other antenna. Because the 1.8dBi antenna is connected directly to the device and the combo antenna is intended to be mounted on the vehicle, aggregate power for the MIMO operation was not considered. Deere & Company has asserted that the MA4G is intended only for professional installation, and therefore, the device is exempt from the antenna requirements defined in 15.203.
