Date: April 11, 2018 Federal Communications Commission Equipment Authorization Division 7435 Oakland Mills Road Columbia, MD 21046 To Whom It May Concern: Sierra Wireless is submitting an application for certification of its radio module model EM7511 under FCC ID: N7NEM75S. The EM7511 module includes hardware that can support the LTE Band 48 operation under Part 96. In a recent KDB inquiry, the Commission has confirmed its current position that compliance with requirements of §96.47 should be done using an approved CBSD. Due to the lack of an FCC approved CBSD at this time, Sierra Wireless has decided to disable the LTE Band 48 operation by software and exclude it from this submission.
