Putting You in Control of Technology UNIVERSAL ELECTRONICS INC. 6101 Gateway Drive Cypress, CA 90630 May 5, 2008 Dear Application Examiner: Universal Electronics Inc. is submitting this application for the certification of their Model TPMC—4XG, universal controller for use in home theaters under FCC ID: MG372400C. It contains an 802.11b/g radio, Model XG—180M. Two test reports have been provided to demonstrate compliance of the radio with FCC 15C. Sporton International Inc Test Report No. FR660211 will be used for all of the direct connect tests. Northwest EMC Test Report No. UEICOO0O02 will be used to demonstrate spurious radiated emissions and AC powerline conducted emissions compliance of the radio while installed in the host device. These technical reports and exthibits demonstrate compliance with FCC rules 47 CFR 15.247. The radio utilizes a two internal antennas, a PCB trace antenna and a chip antenna. This configuration satisfies the requirements of 47 CFR 15.203. The receiver portion of this radio transceiver has been verified to FCC 15B. Please see the Sporton Lab test report no. FD660211.
