Expedite TM EU870D 7.2 Mbps HSDPA PCI Express Mini Card / Embedded Module with Receive Diversity & Equalizer The Expedite™ EU870D PCI Express Mini Card is an embedded module that can be integrated into laptops and other devices for 3G mobile data applications. This module, powered by Qualcomm MSM6280 diversity and equalizer chipset, offers high performance to the user and operates globally on 850, 1900, and 2100 MHz bands on HSDPA and UMTS networks. This module, optimized for Europe*, has diversity on the 2100 MHz band. It also supports quad-band on EDGE and GPRS networks. The EU870D supports mobile broadband download speeds up to 7.2 Mbps.† Performance and Global Mobility Today, many users take high-speed Internet access for granted in their office and home. HSDPA technology, the latest evolution of 3G WCDMA, currently provides broadband speeds up to 3.6 Mbps in the operator’s network and roaming areas.† Coupled with 3G technology, the EU870D embedded in a laptop or other device provides greater mobility than WiFi networks. Laptops can be used globally and are not restricted to just WiFi networks in a home, office, hotel, or café. This module works in Europe, North America, Japan, Australia, and other regions for the supported bands†. An EU870D device becomes more like a cell phone — with data mobility similar to voice mobility. Network-Backward Compatible While most 3G networks are still being rolled out, Internet connectivity need not stop at the edge of 3G coverage. EDGE provides a viable alternative to 3G for many applications, but at lower data rates. EDGE compatible, the small Expedite EU870D leverages all four GSM/GPRS network bands under FCC and CE certification. Automatic switching between GPRS/EDGE/3G networks enables your customers to work, play, and stay connected anytime, anywhere worldwide.† Performance When It Counts High-efficiency compact design and advanced technologies provide consistently improved throughput performance. Advanced Receiver Technologies for Optimal Performance The EU870D introduces two new advanced receiver technologies, diversity and equalizer, to ensure users get the maxi- mum performance possible, whether in good or poor radio conditions, including when moving or inside buildings. These technologies also benefit the network operator by lowering the demands on the network while delivering higher throughput performance and effectively increasing network capacity. * Optimized with Receive Diversity for Europe and other regions in the world that provides UMTS and HSDPA on 2100 MHz band.
