Request for a limited modular approval for FCC ID: LGYWL2611176
                   IC: 2640A—WL261176

                   Dear Application Examiner:

The O‘Neil Product Development, Radio 802.11 b/g Phaser Model: WL261176 is
seeking FCC and Industry Canada authorization as a limited modular transmitter.
The requirements of the FCC Public notice DAOO—1407 and RSS—GEN, Issue 1, section
                   7.1.2 are met.

The following requirements are fulfilled (Except for item #5—which is why a limited
modular approval is being done instead of a full modular approval):

                   1. The modular transmitter must have its own RF shielding
The radio portion of the module is contained in its own RF shielding. See the
                   external photos

                   2. The modular transmitter must have buffered modulation/data inputs
The module has a memory management unit inside of the IC. It buffers the data
inputs from an external serial interface.

                   3. The modular transmitter must have its own power supply regulation
The IC contains an own voltage regulation. In case of changes in the supply voltage
for VCC (for example caused by temperature changes or other effects), the internal
                   voltage will be stabilized.

                   4. The modular transmitter must comply with the antenna requirements of
                   Section 15.203 and 15.204c
The transmitter shall only be used with the tested antennas. The antennas that can
be used are shown in the antenna information exhibit.

                   5. The modular transmitter must be tested in a stand—alone configuration
The EUT was tested in four (4) different model printers (LP3—L, MF2t—L, MF4t—L, and
OC2—L). Since the EUT was not tested as a stand alone configuration, we are
requesting a limited modular approval per section 7.1.2 of RSS—GEN to cover the
use of the EUT inside the four (4) different printers.

                   6. The modular transmitter must be labeled with its own FCC ID number
The EUT will be labeled with its own FCC ID number. If the module is installed inside
of an end product (i.e. printer), the label will not be visible. Asample label is
included that shows what the label will look like on the product (printer). Note: This
module is to be only used in O‘Neil Products and will not be anOEM product.
