Att: OET Dept.
Ref: FCC Class 3 Permission Change for FCC ID: LDKIW3702
       (Original Grant Date: 06/02/2015)
       Applicant: Cisco Systems, Inc.
Dear Examiner,
This is to request a Class III permissive change for FCC ID: LDKIW3702 originally granted on
06/02/2015. This change is required to support Regulatory Domain Unification for Cisco
Wireless LAN Access Points.
Change defined by this Class 3 Permissive Change:
The product defined by LDKIW3702 will no longer use a fixed/set domain based product ID and
instead will use the Cisco developed Regulatory Domain Unification operation for regulatory
domain initial provisioning.
This SDS operation is the same one used in LDK102087 which was covered by a Class III
Permissive change submitted to the FCC and approved on 7/31/2014.
The software, configuration, and security controls as well as the Software Theory of Operation
are the same as with FCC ID: LDK102087 which is developed and supported by the same
company, Cisco Systems Inc.
The use of Regulatory Domain Unification for FCC ID: LDKIW3702 will be introduced with the
Cisco IOS release 8.0 MR2.
The Regulatory Domain Unification process includes changes to the SDS parameters as
originally reported for this SDR device, thus in accordance with KDB442812)III, we are filing this
Class III Permissive Change application.
Note: The original FCC ID and grant and the new FCC ID and grant belong to the same grantee,
Cisco Systems and the grantee retains full responsibility for security and configuration control
for both FCC IDs and grants.
If you have any questions regarding this application, please feel free to contact me.
