Telecommunication Certification Body 849 NW State Road 45 Newberry, FL 32669 SUBJECT: GENERAL DYNAMICS ITRONIX CORPORATION FCC ID: KBCIX-WT11 Class II Permissive Change Limited Modular Approval On behalf of General Dynamics Itronix Corporation is a Class II Permissive Change application to the originally certified modular device under Part 15 Subpart C of the FCC Rules. This Class II Permissive Change is to incorporate the WT11 Class 1 Bluetooth FCC ID: KBCIX-WT11 into the General Dynamics Itronix Corporation GD3080 Rugged Tablet PC as a Limited Modular Approval under portable operating conditions. The WT11 Class 1 Bluetooth will be utilized in the GD3080 Rugged Tablet PC with the same antenna part no. TWT8DBLPI01E as listed the original certification. There are no changes made to the WT11 Class 1 Bluetooth incorporated into the GD3080 Rugged Tablet PC and remains identical to the originally certified device; therefore radiated spurious emissions measurements are not required to be submitted for this application. The maximum average conducted output power of the WT11 Class 1 Bluetooth is below the output power threshold (< 60/fGHz mW) for routine SAR evaluation requirements specified in FCC KDB 447498 Section 1); therefore routine SAR measurements are not required to be submitted for this application. The WT11 Class 1 Bluetooth FCC ID: KBCIX-WT11 is co-located in the GD3080 Rugged Tablet PC with the General Dynamics Itronix Corporation IX-62205ANH 802.11a/b/g/n WLAN Module FCC ID: KBCIX-62205ANH. The WT11 Bluetooth can transmit simultaneously with the IX-62205ANH WLAN. RF exposure considerations for simultaneous transmission assessment are addressed within this filing in accordance with FCC KDB 447498 Section 3)b)ii)(1). Submitted within this application are the TCB Form 731, applicant’s agency authorization letter, co-located IX-62205ANH WLAN SAR RF exposure measurement report, antenna info, FCC ID label and location, internal and external device photographs and the GD3080 user manual.
