Gentlemen:

Enclosed find Acer Communications & Multimedia Inc.’s (formerly known as Acer Peripheral Inc.)
Equipment Authorization July 22, 2001. This device is in compliance with Part 15, Subparts B and C and
in accordance with Section 15.247 of the FCC Rules. The schematic diagram is being submitted under
confidentiality, pursuant to Section 0.459 as it is contains confidential information and would not routinely
be make available to the general public.

The subject device is a 79-channel frequency hopping spread spectrum PCMCIA Card, which
will operate within 2400~2483.5 MHz frequency band. This device complies with bluetooth
technology, operates with nominal host provided 5VDC, has internal 9.1mm antenna and is
capable of supporting maximum rated RF output power equal to or less than 20 dBm (100 mW).
This device’s associated receiver and computer peripheral device will be authorized under
Declaration of Conformity (DoC).

This EUT was tested in accordance with ANSI C63.4-1992 to show compliance with FCC Parts 15B and
15C limits.
