Safety Instructions
1.    The AC adapter isolates this equipment from the AC supply.
2.    Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not
      use liquid or aerosol cleaners.                    Use a damp cloth for cleaning.
      Slots and openings in the cabinet and the back or top are provided
      for ventilation.          They must not be blocked or covered. This
      product should never be placed near or over a radiator or heat
      register, or in a built—in installation unless proper ventilation is
      provided.
      This product should be operated from the type of power indicated
      on the marking label.              If you are not sure of the type of power
      available, consult your dealer or local power company.


This product should be operated with a 2—wire grounding—type
plug. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact
your electrician to make the necessary outlet changes.

Unpacking the Package
Check following items.    If they are missing or damaged, consult your
place of purchase immediately.

Locate the model name and the serial number labeled at the bottom of
your monitor base.   Write down the related information of your
monitor and dealer in the space on page ii for future reference.


Features
Your AcerView F50 has the following features:
/   Power Saving Function
    The power management complies with VESA DPMS standard.
    When the system is idle (off mode), the monitor automatically
    cuts its power consumption to less than 5W.
    Green Commitment
    Your monitor is packaged in recycled packing materials and no
    CFCs are used in the manufacturing process.     It is in compliance
    with the US government‘s Energy Star standards and the rigorous
    standards of the Scandinavian countries.
    Space Saving
    Compared with CRT monitors, the depth of your LCD monitor
    footprint is only 170mm, saving at least 50% of your desktop real
    estate.
/   Light Weight
    Your monitor weights only 5.2Kg, 75% lighter than traditional
CRT monitors.
/   Lower Power Consumption
    Compared to the maximum 75W power consumption of CRT
    monitors, this monitor consumes only 20W in operation(typical).
    Glare Free
    Your monitor has special design of no glare, offering you
    comfortable working environment.
    Cosmetic Rear Design
    Different from bundles of cables for other monitors, the cosmetic


rear design of this device hides all cords in its rear cover, offering
you a neat desktop.
Wide Viewing Angle and High Brightness
Your monitor can offer you wider viewing angle with 140° left to
right and 120° up to down.     Brightness offers 200 cd/m2.      Both
can let you enjoy the high qualified screen with great viewing
angle.
High Contrast
Compared to 150:1 in other LCD monitors, this model offers you
300:1 which has better viewing effect.


Power Management
The power management complies with VESA DPMS
standard and handles the power saving modes according
to pin 27 connector ( FPVCC ) recognition. The power
consumption at NORMAL and OFF modes are as follow.

                               Getting Started

Installing the Monitor
This monitor is equipped with an auto—sensing power supply for
voltage ranges 100~240V AC, 50~60Hz.


1.   Make sure that the system
     power is turned off.                   /
2.   Remove the housing of your
     PC.                                                           w
3.   Remove the old VGA card                                             &2
     and insert the LCD VGA card.                                      @
     Tighten the screw when it‘s
     set up.
4.   Replace the housing of your
     PC.
5.   Plug the signal cable to the
     signal connector of the VGA            Adapter outut cable   ~~       /        e

     card at the rear of PC.
6.   Plug one end of power cord to
     the DC IN jack at the rear of
     LCD monitor and the other
     end to the adapter.


Installing the Driver
1.   Insert the 755X WINY95 Driver Installation disk into the floppy
     drive A ( or other proper drive ).
     From the Start menu, select Settings and choose Control
     Panel.
     Click Display icon and select Settings.

     From Change Display Type..., select Adapter Type.
     Select Change... and Have Disk... . Click OK.

     Insert CL—GD755X Windows 95 Driver Disk 2 when you are

     prompted to insert the disk.    Click OK,.
     Click Close to exit Display and select Yes to restart computer.


     If a Version Conflict dialog box pops up to ask you "if you
     want to keep the file?", choose No.
     For Windows 3.1, Win NT 3.51 or Win NT 4.0 users, please
     choose the appropriate installation disk.

Adjusting the Monitor
You can adjust the monitor with the adjustment keys of Brightness to
make necessary settings.


Panel Key Introduction
 -:<:J:- Brightness adjusts the brightness of the LCD monitor.


Making Adjustment
Except brightness, all of the settings we frequently make on the CRT
monitor are standardized and fixed on the VGA card.    Please follow
instructions below to make your favorite setting.


Brightness.
This Display Control adjusts the brightness of the screen display.
Turn * to the left to increase the brightness of the display and the
right to decrease it.

Troubleshooting
Make sure that your monitor is properly installed if you have
encountered any trouble using this product (For hardware installation,
see Chapter 2, Getting Started).    If the problems persist, check this
chapter for possible solutions.


y   There is no picture on the screen.
    Check:
    Q   LCD‘S video signal.        The LCD‘S video signal must be
         specified for the monitor.
    Q   Power saving mode.         Press any key and move the mouse to
        deactivate the mode.
    Q    Signal cable connector pins.     If there are bent or missing
        pins, consult your place of purchase.
    Q     Scanning frequency.
    U   Reboot the system again.


¥    The picture is unstable.
    Check:


      Q   Signal connector pin assignments.        Replace with a correct
          one if they are not operative.
      Q   Signal cable connector pins.      If there are bent or missing
          pins, consult your place of purchase.
      Q   Graphics card.      See if the settings are made properly.
      Q   Scanning frequency.
      U   Reboot the system again.


¥~—   Characters look too dark or too light.
      Q   Adjust related settings.     See Chapter 3, Adjusting the Monitor.




Maintenance
x     Do not expose the monitor to direct sunlight or heat.
x     Do not spill liquid on the monitor.
x     Do not attempt to open the monitor.       You may be hurt by
      electric shock.   For service, call your place of purchase.
      Do not use your monitor when magnets or electronic products
      are operating nearby.
      Do not use harsh chemicals or strong cleaning solvents to clean
      the monitor screen.     Wipe it with clean, soft clothes applied
      with mild solution.
      Do not place anything on your monitor.       Bad ventilation may
      elevate temperature in the monitor
