The change is due to a modification to the software that controls when the devices transmit. When submitted, these devices would only transmit when the state of occupancy in a room changed. Due to safety concerns about the receiving device not receiving the command and leaving the lighting off in an occupied room, randomized polling transmissions were added to ensure integrity in the communication.
