August 15, 2006 Bay Area Compliance laboratory. 1274 Anvilwood Ave. Sunnyvale, CA 94089 Subject: The changes are found in the J9COVMCPSDM1: Old Version New Version SDM model 10-J8278 with circuit board SDM model 10-J9000 with circuit board designed and built by Qualcomm designed and built by Sharp as a secondary source Qualcomm Inc. has contracted Sharp to design and build the circuit board sub-assembly for equipment of SDM based on the same design specifications of the circuit board for the original certified model 10-J8278 under FCC ID J9COVMCPSDM1. The model number with Sharp board is 10-J9000. The change from original model includes schematics and part list. As shown in the certification test report, all spurious emissions after the modification are still well below FCC limit, though the emission from 2nd harmonics of the transmit carrier become few dB higher (see Table A-2 in the attached for details) than that from the original certified model.
