Subject: Regarding Correspondence 39439 for FCC ID: J9C—EA544D2

Please be advised that as a Linux Master DFS device implementing IEEE 802.1In, the 65—VN663—P2
PCle Daughter Card for 2.4/5 GHz AP Applications with DFS support and thedrivers which are
distributed only in binary form by Qualcomm to authorized ODMs/OEMsas well as distributed by
Qualcomm with 65—VN663—P2 samples, is intended to operate indoors only for the 5475—5725 MHz band.

Please be further advised that as a Linux Master DFS device implementing IEEE 802.1 1n, the 65—VN663—
P2 PCle Daughter Card for 2.4/5 GHz AP Applications with DFS support, does not transmit in 5500—
5660 band. The test report does include the 20 dB BW plots for 5600 and 5650 MHz in theoriginal
application. See attached report sections 7.7.7, 7.8.7, 7.9.7, under conducted spurious —20 dBc.

Please further be advised that for the Linux Master DFS device implementing IEEE 802. 1 In, the 65—
VN663—P2 PCle Daugther card for 2.4/5 GHz AP applications with DFS support, the supported channel
list, both DFS and non—DFS channels, will be programmed into an EEPROM and mounted onto the
board at thefactory based on the country to which the product will be shipped. Furthermore there is no
interface for the user and the user cannot change the supported channel list. Furthermore the drivers are
distributed only in binary form by Qualcomm to authorized ODMs/OEMs and they have no ability to
change the Software that enables the channels.
