Subject: Regarding KDB 443999 for FCC ID: J9C-EA544D2

Please be advised that when booting into AP mode the 65-VN663-P2, will act as a Linux Master
DFS device implementing IEEE 802.11n. As such, the 65-VN663-P2 Ethernet Adapter card for
2.4/5 GHz applications with DFS support and the drivers which are distributed only in binary
form by Qualcomm to authorized ODMs/OEMs as well as distributed by Qualcomm with 65-
VN663-P2 samples, have EEPROM/OTP binaries that exclude the use of channels 120, 124, 128
in the FCC regulatory domain and advise recipients that support of enabled channels 100, 104,
108, 112, 116, 132, 136 are for indoor use only. Neither distributed binaries (drivers and
EEPROM/OTP) provide for end-user selection of country code.

Best Regards,

Paul Guckian
VP, Engineering, Regulatory Group
