                  [2] 47 CFR §§ 0.457, 0.459

Dear Sir or Madam,

Submitted herewith is an application for equipment authorization of a low power transmitter under the FCC
Part 15 Rules.

Lexmark International requests, pursuant to [1] and [2], that portions of the material contained in this
application be indefinitely withheld from public inspection following the grant of authorization. This
material contains information relating to the circuit design and function that could be beneficial to
Lexmark's competitors. Those items requested to be held confidential indefinitely are the following:

1.   Circuit diagrams in exhibit SCHEMATICS;
2. Theory of operations in exhibit THEORY OF OPERATIONS.
3. Block diagram in exhibit BLOCK DIAGRAM.

In addition, Lexmark requests temporary confidentiality for 45 days following the grant of authorization for
the following items:

1.   Test report in exhibit TEST REPORT;
2.   EUT photos in exhibit EUT PHOTOS;
3.   Test setup photos in exhibit TEST SETUP PHOTOS;

Per [1] and [2], Lexmark will notify the FCC if any marketing of this device will occur before the
expiration of this 45 day period.

The antenna for this device is permanently installed and is not user accessible. In order to access the
antenna, RFID circuitry or cabling/connectors to the antenna, one would need to disassemble a significant
portion of the printer. The user should not perform this activity or disassemble the printer in this manner.
Therefore, the antenna requirements of Section 15.203 of the FCC Rules are satisfied.
