*Adult needed to connect camera base to TV or VCR. VCR required in order to record. The video camera alone does not record.


HW—288 is a high quality‘s 2.4GHz cordless video camera system, got the most life
like‘s image and clarity sounds. The transmission range is up to 10 meter (depend on
environment) so you can take image all around your house freely.

Getting Started

Camera
Battery Installation
1. Unscrew the battery door by screwdriver.
2. Remove the battery door and insert 6 "AA" batteries, checking the + and — ends of the batteries.
3. Close the battery door and screw it back.
We recommend
* Do not mix old and new batteries.
* Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon—zinc) or rechargeable (nickel—cadmium) batteries.
e Removing batteries if unit is not used for more than 30 days.

Base Unit
Backup Battery Installation
The backup battery is to keep the universal remote control setting during AC power failure occurs or
the AC adaptor is accidentally disconnected.
1.    Unscrew the battery door by screwdriver.
2.    —Remove the battery door and insert 2 "AAA" batteries, checking the + and — ends of the batteries.
3. Close the battery door and screw it back.
We recommend
*     Do not mix old and new batteries.
*     Do not mix alkaline, standard (carbon—zinc) or rechargeable (nickel—cadmium) batteries.
*     Removing batteries if unit is not used for more than 30 days.


Power Connection
Important: Please use the power adaptor (DC 6V 500mA) came with the unit only.
1. Plug in the power adaptor came with the unit to the wall outlet and the base unit.
2. Turn on the base unit by switching the POWER ON/OFF switch to ON. The green LED on the
    base unit will be turned on.


 Hooking to T
 NOTE: If you want to record image to videotape, you must connect HW—288 to VCR. But if you just
 want transmit image to TV, you can just connect HW—288 to TV only.
 1.     Turn off both your TV and the HW—288 base unit.
 2.     Connect the yellow plug to your TV‘s VIDEO IN jack and the white plug to AUDIO IN.
 3.     To check the connection, please turn on your TV and both BE—278 base and camera. Switch TV to
        LINE IN mode than you should see picture capturing by the camera.


 Hooking to VCR
 NOTE: Please make sure the connection between your TV and VCR is working properly before install
 the HW—288.
        Turn off your TV, VCR and the HW—288 base unit.

        Connect the yellow plug to your VCR‘s VIDEO IN jack and the white plug to AUDIO IN.
        To check the connection, please turn on your TV, VCR and both HW—288 base and camera.
        Switch both TV and VCR to LINE IN mode and than you should see picture capturing by the
        camera.


 Recording your own video
 1.  Turn on the VCR, HW—288 base unit and the camera. The green LEDs on the base and camera
     will be turned on. Put in a blank videotape into your VCR.
 2. To start recording, press the REC button on the camera. The red LEDs both in the front and back
     on the camera will be turned on to indicate it is recording.
 3. To pause it, just press the PAUSE button which locate in the center of POWER ON/OFF Switch.
     The red LEDs will become flashing.
 4. To continue the recording, just press the PAUSE button again.
 5. After complete recording, just presses the STOP button on the camera then turn it off.
 NOTE: Depending on the brand of VCR you are using, it may have difference operation for pause and
 re—recoding operation. Please read your VCR operation manual carefully and follow steps base on it.


  Play your Video
  1.    You can also access your VCR by using VCR keys on the camera so you don‘t need to walk back
        and forth.


 Accessories
 Tri port — For you to fix the camera so you can take your picture by yourself.


  Maintenance
 Cleaning the Cabinet
 Take cares to keep the unit clean and dry. You may clean the cabinet with mild soap and water.
