Dear Jessica Ho,

You are listed as the Technical Contact for the above referenced TCB application. The
following items need to be resolved before the review can be continued:

1. The Users Manual states that WiFi Ch01-Ch14 are available in Japan, CH01-CH13 available in
Europe and CH01-Ch11 are available in N America. The WLAN Operational Description indicates
it operates on 11 channels. Please indicate how the WLAN operation is restricted to the 11
channels in the USA and how the user can not activate the other channels. Also, since the
schematic shows 802.11a capability, please confirm if this device will have that capability
in operation.
Ans: It?・ controlled by software design. WiFi channel is adjusted by each OS SKU base on
which country the product will be shipped. For example, if the product is shipped in North
America, the WiFi channel is restricted to CH1~11 and it?・ not allowed to modify the
setting.
Please see the revised file named " Schematic Revised 0111 ", we have uploaded on website.

2. The SAR report documents the conducted power measurements of the Rel 6 HSUPA Sub Tests 1-
5, but these seem to differ from the expected Maximum Power Reductions (MPR) of the 3GPP
standard (expected to be 0, 2, 1, 2, 0 db respectively). Please explain this deviation from
the expected MPR values.
Ans: We revised the page 31 and 33 of the test report.
Please see the revised file named " E210 SAR Test Report Revised 0111 ", we have uploaded on
website.

3. The SAR testing was performed using e-Probes s/n: 3578, s/n 3665 and s/n: 3554, but the only
calibration documentation was submitted for s/n:3578. Please submit the e-Probe Calibration
documentation for EX3DV4 SN:3554 and EX3DV4 SN:3665
Ans: Please see the revised file named " E210 SAR Probe EX3DV4 sn3665 20100325c 0111 & E210 SAR
Probe EX3DV4 sn3554 20100922c 0111 ", we have uploaded on website.

4. The SAR statements in the manual indicate that accessories should provide 1.0cm spacing, but the
SAR report documents the GSM 850 and GSM1900 modes using a 1.5 cm spacing. The 1.0cm spacing was
used to test modes during which the portable Hot-Spot functions would be used (such as HSUPA and
GPRS), but not for the voice operations in GSM modes. Please update the Statement to the user's to
explain the need for the 1.5 cm spacing for body-worn operations.
Ans: The DUT is included Voice and Data mode, then the data mode with Hot-spot functions. So the SAR report is
included both Voice mode ( using a 1.5 cm spacing) and Data mode(portable Hot-Spot functions using a 1.0 cm
spacing). The user's manual stated the worst case of the test spacing 1.0 cm.

5. Please note that the Grant for the PCE will reflect the worst case equipment parameters for
GSM850, GPRS850, WCDMA Band V, GSM-1900, GPRS-1900 and WCDMA Band II, instead of the multiple
equipment specifications for each band entered onto the online application form.
Ans: Please see the revised file named "Part 22 & 24 emission designators 0111", we have uploaded on
website.

The items indicated above must be submitted before processing can continue on the above referenced
application. Failure to provide the requested information within 30 days of the original e-mail date
may result in application dismissal and forfeiture of the filing fee. Also, please note that partial
responses increase processing time and should not be submitted. Any questions about the content of
this correspondence should be directed to the e-mail address listed below the name of the sender.
Revised documentation should not be emailed, but instead should be submitted through "Add Attachment"
function at the UL-CCS website. Please have your Assessment Number and FCC ID/IC Certification number
handy. You may use the following link: https://cert.ccsemc.com/filing/

Chris Harvey
