Out of the Box Make sure that your shipping box contains these items: • Dolphin CN80 mobile computer (Model CN80L0N or CN80L1N) • Rechargeable 3.85 VDC Li-ion battery • Product documentation If you ordered accessories for your CN80, verify that they are also included with the order. Be sure to keep the original packaging in case you need to return the mobile computer for 8 /1 service. Note: /7 CN80L0N models do not include a WWAN radio. ,2 se Memory Card Specifications ea el Honeywell recommends the use of Single Level Cell (SLC) rR industrial grade microSD™ or microSDHC™ memory cards with Dolphin mobile computers for maximum performance and fo durability. Install a microSD Card (SD) Note: Format the microSD card before initial use. Always power off the computer before attempting to install or remove a card. 1. Remove the two screws holding the card access door closed. 2. Pull gently on the tab to open the door. 3. Press down gently on the center card holder. 8 /1 4. Slide the holder toward the bottom of the unit, and then lift up the edge. /7 ,2 se 5. Insert the microSD card into the card holder with the ea contacts facing out. el 6. Close the holder with the card inserted. rR 7. Press down gently on the holder and slide it into the locked fo position. ot N 8. Close the card access door. ft, 9. Install the two screws to secure the door closed. ra D 5

Install a microSIM Card (SIM 1 or SIM 2) Note: Model CT60L0N only supports UICC SE NFC technology through the SIM 1 card socket. On CT60L1N models, the SIM 1 socket supports both cellular and NFC UICC SE functionality. Always power off the computer before attempting to install or remove a card. 1. Remove the two screws holding the card access door closed. 8 2. Pull gently on the tab to open the door. /1 3. /7 Press down gently on one of the following: ,2 • the far left card holder for SIM 1 installation, or se • the far right card holder for SIM 2 installation. ea el 4. Slide the holder toward the bottom of the unit, and then lift rR up the edge. fo 5. Insert the SIM card into the card holder with the contacts ot facing out. N 6. Close the holder with the card inserted. ft, ra 7. Press down gently on the holder and slide it into the locked D position. 8. Close the card access door. 9. Install the two screws to secure the door closed. 6

Install the Battery The CN80 mobile computer ships with a Li-ion 3.85 VDC, 22.3 watt-hour battery manufactured for Honeywell International Inc. We recommend use of Honeywell Li-ion battery packs. Use of any non-Honeywell battery may result in damage not covered by the warranty. 1 3 8 /1 2 /7 ,2 se ea el rR fo Ensure all components are dry prior to placing the ot battery in the computer. Charge the Mobile Computer The CN80 mobile computer ships with a partially charged battery. Charge the battery with a CX80 Series charging device for a minimum of 4 hours. Using the computer while charging the battery increases the time required to reach a full charge. We recommend the use of Honeywell accessories and power adapters. Use of any non-Honeywell accessories or power adapters may cause damage not covered by the warranty. CN80 mobile computers are designed for use with the following 8 /1 CX80 Series charging accessories: HomeBase, Ethernet /7 HomeBase, ChargeBase, NetBase, Quad Battery Charger, Vehicle Power Adapter, Vehicle Dock, and USB Adapter. ,2 Ensure all components are dry prior to mating the se computers and batteries with peripheral devices. ea Mating wet components may cause damage not el covered by the warranty. rR fo ot N ft, ra D 8

Turn Power On/Off To turn the computer on: • Press and release the Power button. To turn the computer off: 1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears. 2. Touch Power Off. 8 3. When prompted to shut down the computer, touch OK. /1 Note: /7 You should always power off the computer before removing the ,2 battery. se ea Sleep Mode el Sleep mode automatically turns the touch panel display off and rR locks the computer to save battery power when the computer is fo inactive for a programmed period of time. ot 1. Press and release the Power button to wake the computer. N ft, ra 2. Drag the toward the top of the display to unlock the D computer. Adjust the Display Sleep Time To adjust the amount of time before the display sleeps after inactivity: 1. Touch > Settings > Display > Sleep. 2. Select the amount of time before the display goes to sleep. 3. Touch to return to the Home screen. 9

Scan a Bar Code with the Scan Demo Note: For optimum performance, avoid reflections by scanning the bar code at a slight angle. 1. Touch > Demos > Scan Demo. 2. Point the computer at the bar code. 3. Touch Scan on the touch screen or press and hold a Scan button. Center the aiming beam over the bar code. 8 /1 /7 ,2 se ea el rR fo ot N ft, ra D The decode results appear on the screen. Note: In the Scan Demo app, not all bar code symbologies are enabled by default. If a bar code does not scan, the correct symbology may not be enabled. To learn how to modify the default app settings, see the user guide. 12

Sync Data To move files between your CN80 and a computer: 1. Connect the CN80 to your computer using a USB charge/ communication accessory. 2. By default, the CN80 is in USB charging only mode. To enable file transfers, swipe down from the top of the Home screen to access the Notifications panel. 3. Touch the USB notification, and then select either Transfer 8 files or Transfer photos (PTP). /1 4. /7 Depending on the Windows® operating system on your ,2 computer, either open File Explorer or Windows Explorer. se 5. Under “Computer” or “This PC”, click on the CN80. You can ea now copy, delete and/or move files or folders between the el computer and CN80 or a microSD card installed in the rR CN80 as you would with any other storage drive (e.g., cut fo and paste or drag and drop). ot N ft, ra D 13

Restart the Mobile Computer You may need to restart the mobile computer to correct conditions where an application stops responding to the system or the computer seems to be locked up. 1. Press and hold the Power button until the options menu appears. 2. Select Reboot and then OK.
