RE: TRW Inc. FCC ID: GQ4-54T IC: 1470A-35T ATCB0112528 The following is in response to the comments made on the above referenced application. 1) Regarding the LF Coil, it is uncertain if this part of the device is a TX, active/passive, etc. If active in nature, this would require certification as well. Block diagram does suggest it is a transceiver circuit. Please explain. The LF coil employed on this device acts both as a passive LF transponder (ignition immobilizer) and an LF receiver for passive entry that receives LF when a door handle is lifted and transmits RF. It has no ability to actively transmit LF. 2) There appears to be modifications/changes to the circuit between different versions. Please explain. The manufacturer made changes manually to the antenna tuning/filtering section prior to final testing to bring the device into compliance. The single board photo shows the sample for which complete tests were performed. The four board photo shows the main PCB tested plus the variants which were modified to the same circuitry, but not with the same care. All samples tested are electrically identical except for switch populations. 3) Section 6.1.3 would appear to need to cite 123 kHz instead of 120. Please review. This typographical error has been corrected. 4) Test Report page 9 shows 5 frames but page 7 suggests 6 frames for ASK. Please review and correct for consistency. This typographical error has been corrected.
